District Meetings

The American Academy of Implant Dentistry has four District organizations.  These allow members to network with their colleagues in venues convenient to their homes and offices.  Districts organize and host scientific programs.   The upcoming District Meetings include:

Western District

The Western and Central Districts teamed up to present "Designing Beautiful Smiles with Dental Implants - Rising to the Challenge," a day and one-half of education on March 13 - 14, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

Outstanding speakers included Drs. Brian LeSage, Ed McLaren, Nick Caplanis and Philip Kroll.  In addition, case reports were presented by Drs. William Liang and Matthew Young.

Check back periodically for updates on the 2011 meeting.  In the meantime, here is the onsite program for the 2010 meeting that includes abstracts of the programs and speaker bios and exhibitor/sponsor information.

Southern District

The Southern District hosted its 2010 Annual Meeting at Jekyll Island, Georgia, June 10 - 12, 2010.  The theme was "Catch the Wave of Success" and it featured AAID credentialed members sharing their secrets to success in transforming their practices into profitable dental implant practices.

Northeast District

The Northeast and the Southern Districts of the AAID teamed to present a very educational and enjoyable meeting, June 12 - 14, 2009 in Boston.  The theme was "Focus on Bone Atrophy" and included presentations from the pioneers who have successfully created formulae to combat the process of bone atrophy.  The presentations focused on the options of preventing bone loss, gaining volume in deficient areas and strategies for long term bone maintenance.  The science of bone physiology was discussed in detail and a scientific basis for executing bone augmentation procedures will be elaborated by these visionaries.  The full gamut of augmentation procedures were presented taking into account time, risk, morbidity and necessary training.

Central District

The Central District held its 2008 meeting in Toronto in June.  Check this Web site for more updates and announcements about the next Central District meeting.
