AAID stands for excellence in education, scientific development and patient care. The Academy provides bona fide credentialing in implantology through the Associate Fellow and Fellow examinations. The Associate Fellow and Fellow credentials are recognized by numerous state boards. Members who demonstrate the highest standards in implantology find the AAID to be the organization which supports their clinical and research interests, as well as recognition for their achievements. General Membership
If you are interested in implant dentistry, this is where you begin. You will receive a membership packet including a list of membership benefits and opportunities, a certificate suitable for framing, and a membership directory. You will also receive a FREE subscription to the Journal of Oral Implantology and the AAID NEWS.
Associate Fellow Membership
If you wish to substantiate your expertise in implant dentistry through a verifiable credentialing process, the Associate Fellow Membership is your next step. Your Associate Fellow certificate lets your patients know that you are an experienced, credentialed implant professional. Fellow Membership
Fellow Membership is a special step in validating your expertise and proficiency in implant dentistry. Your Fellow certificate and medallion are a tangible representation of your achievements to display to your patients informing them of your advanced education, training and experience. Candidates for Fellow Membership must have practiced implant dentistry for five years. In addition to an examination, Fellow candidates must submit their professional credentials for review by the AAID Admissions and Credentials Board. Patient Referrals
The AAID maintains an active public information campaign. As a result, the Headquarters Office receives hundreds of inquiries from prospective implant candidates. Prospective patients are referred to Credentialed members when they call the Headquarters Office or when they visit the AAID website.
